What an odd year it's been. I've done no conducting whatsoever (and that's a problem), but I've been doing more brass playing than I have in years. I came back from a wonderful vacation in France to two very different, equally exciting gigs: playing horn for Stravinsky's The Firebird with QUO and valve trombone (!!!) for the Blue Hill Troupe's The Drowsy Chaperone. The Stravinsky was challenging, but worth it - Drowsy was even more challenging, but insanely fun.
I got my certificate from The American Prize and sent them a long-overdue thank-you letter. What nice things they said! |
