Summer 2013

Wow, summer's almost over, isn't it?  It was a quiet summer here, spent most of it studying French and digitizing old audiotapes.

I'm now in the finals for The American Prize in opera/musical theater conducting.  We should hear about the results of that soon.  That's for last year's SavoyNet Performing Group production of The Sorcerer at the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival.  This year, SavoyNet, for the first time ever, won the festival with The Yeomen of the Guard.  As Pooh-Bah says, "I wasn't there", but I'm very proud of us anyway!  Particularly of marvelous soprano Anne Slovin, who picked up the "Best Female Voice" prize for the second year in a row.  Take a look at my YouTube channel to see some of her great work in Sorcerer last year.
