There is a lot going on, but not a lot having to do with EPMS. The QUO concert was a lovely experience, and it was nice to be in hornistic shape - had to be for that repertoire. But I was not offered their open artistic director job and now I am gigless. There are always many more capable conductors than there are jobs.
So I'm spending the summer getting ready for the wedding, and will be tackling some writing projects in the fall, as I regroup and figure out what my next move is. The MD job for Savoynet's production next year at the G&S festival is a definite target... with an added bonus of, unlike the last time, we now seem to already know what the show is going to be when the requests for interest come out. I'm hoping for Patience or Trial/Zoo.
